What is CBD?
CBD or Cannabidiol as it’s technically known is one of many natural compounds found in the hemp plant, known collectively as cannabinoids. It is a natural organic non–psychoactive cannabinoid
CBD is extracted from hemp, usually from the Cannabis Sativa plant, and has very low levels of THC.
Is CBD legal?
Yes. It is legal to sell and buy in the UK and throughout the EU. All of our CBD products contain less than the legal limit of 0.2% of THC.
Laws change outside of the EU and other parts of the world are less liberal, therefore we are unable sell our products outside of the EU.
Where does CBD come from?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound – known as a cannabinoid – found in cannabis plants. Unlike other compounds, such as THC, it doesn’t have a psychoactive effect and so doesn’t give the feeling of getting ‘high’ that other cannabis products do. When CBD is extracted from cannabis plants, it is often added to a carrier oil such as hemp seed oil or coconut oil, to create many of the products found on the market today in places such as health shops and chemists.
Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?
Generally, no, but certain people in certain jobs will need to be careful when using CBD products and ensure they are as pure as possible. Athletes, for example, will not fail a drug test for CBD, but THC is a prohibited substance above a certain threshold, and so if there is any contamination of THC in the CBD product, they could be at risk of failing a test.
What are the benefits of CBD?
The main benefit of CBD is pain relief. CBD products can be purchased in several forms, including CBD e-liquids and CBD edibles, but most commonly oil, to apply to the affected area. People suffering from multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis can often benefit from CBD treatment. In addition, CBD is also said to help with anxiety and depression, reduce acne and alleviate cancer-related symptoms, among other things. Will I get high from CBD?
The specific strain of cannabis plant used to make our CBD means that the THC level is well within the legal limits and you will not get ‘high’.
Products containing THC are illegal in the United Kingdom and CBD contains no psychoactive properties. You can safely use CBD whilst maintaining a clear mind and active lifestyle.
Are CBD and THC the same thing?
CBD and THC are the two main ingredients in the cannabis plant so are often confused. However, other than both being called cannabinoids, they are not the same thing. THC is the compound that can get you ‘high’ whereas CBD is completely non-psychoactive. Ace CBD products contain less than the legal limit of 0.2% of THC, and therefore are 100% safe to use.
